Yes it’s true, team mates Kathy and Robert Youngren trekked all the way to the Anartica to post a one two sweep at the world’s most remote marathon! Robert won the race in a time of 3:50:02 with his wife to follow up in 3:58:59 for second place, how cool is that!

Scott, thanks for the plug! BTW, it’s just the Antarctica Marathon (The Last Marathon). The Antarctica ICE Marathon is a totally different event that is contested in April, I believe, and on the Antarctic Continent itself (you wouldn’t be wearing shorts there as the average temps are well below zero w/o the wind!)
