Karl Meltzer, here at Edinburg Gap, finally adds MMT to his impressive record of tough 100 mile finishes.

Third try is a charm, Meltzer wins with a time of 20:11:09. Karl can now ad Massanutten to his impressive list of 18 100 mile victories, as most of us ad a 100 mile finishes to our list, he ads wins. Karl was chased all day by Todd Walker who finished second with a impressive run by Keith Knipiling for third. Karl was not pushed enough to set a course record, but again he is like blue chip stock at the 100 mile distance. Congratulation to all the runners who were able to finish the rockiest course in the states. Way to go Gary Knipiling for finishing his 10th MMT! Bahaha two scrapes !

  5. Impressive performance, Karl. I agree with Dan O’Connor. You look like you need to eat a sandwich.

I’m psyched to see how you do throughout the summer — Hardrock, Mont Blanc, etc.

Bahahaha! Five scrapes of the beer can.

  6. That 3.2 beer in Utah just won’t let you keep the weight on. You need to hit the 10.0 barley wines and Imperials. I hope you smuggled some of the stronger stuff back from Virginia, though I imagine you pretty much got it figured out.

That was one hell of a show you put on out there–unfortunately, I only got to see about 3 second of it, as you coasted down the trail past me below Bird Knob.

    Fastest fatboy at Massanutten?
