Every year I toss my name in the hat for the Wasatch and Hardrock with only a small amount of success. I’ve really enjoyed watching the sport grow the last decade or more but what a task to build a race schedule these days. This year no Wasatch, 30th on the Hardrock 100 waiting list (50/50 chance), but game on for the Ultra Trail du Mt. Blanc!! Maybe next year I’ll go explore some new terrain as new 100’s are showing up every where!

The 2010 Speedgoat 50k will be held July 31, 2010, starting at 6:30am.  Online registration will be available on January 1, at 12:01 MST at Ultrasignup.com  Entries are limited to 200 runners.  Cash prizes have increased to $500 for the fastest Billie and Nannie, and a good beating is guaranteed to be had by all!

It’s time to cross the pond and run the ultimate trail race, Ultra-Trail Du Mount-Blanc. I’ve heard the stories from Meltzer and team mate Mike Mason describing the event, it sounds like my type of course with gnarly endless vertical. 2010 could shape up to be a fun year in Chamonix  if the Wasatch Speedgoats can get in the race along with the mystery man?
