We ended up parking in the Park n Ride at the bottom of the road and sleeping in the trees down by the creek...coincidentally, this morning we drove up to Alta and I did 3 hours up to Catherine Pass-Sunset Peak down to Brighton and then back up and over plus some extra stuff on the Great Western Trail. I realize now that the Wasatchs are awesome mountains! See ya at the show... tony Thanks Karl. They are all Forest Service ones and will cost you 12-15 bucks most likely. That's really about it. Anything free is at least a 1 hour drive or more and not worth the price of gas. The closest to the OR show would be up Little Cottonwood Canyon towards Snowbird and Alta..called Tanners Flat. The next one is Albion basin Campground at the top of the road. Although it's an extra 15 minutes, you are in a Mt. Runners Paradise and you would love running up there before the show.
