Wow.
I can’t say I had “fun” by any normal definition of the word, but I will be back to run this race for as long as you guys hold it. I was really impressed by how well you handled marking and guiding us on such a confusing course because I was delirious with oxygen deprevation and I never got lost. The volunteers were awesome too, I really looked forward to hitting those aid stations (and not just for the treats). Thanks guys!
P.S. so how much elevation did we end up climbing? I heard different amounts but I know for certain that those climbs were BRUTAL!

I did not run it this year. Just made the awards for the goats. I ran the tough ass Psycho 50km in Kansas. A little slice of midwest hell with lots of climbing just no altitude. I definitely plan to run the Speedgoat next year though!

I logged 10.5K up and 10.5K down for a total of 21K on my Garmin 205.
Awesome run guys! Thanks, Halfast Goat

I also had 10.5k and 10.5k down. Watch only recorded 26.11 miles?
Awesome race! I’ll see you again next year.

I want to thank both Karl and Scott for a great race with good vertical, friendly volunteers, and a nice t-shirt. Count me in again for next year!

Wow! Great race-thanks guys! Volunteers, awards, vertical, rds, all good.
I remember thinking you were “sick” at the time, but now I think you were inspired! (Oh, how quickly we forget…)

Hey Guys.
Thanks so much for a great race. Fantastic course (and since I came in “dead last”, I should know the best because I was out there the longest!) By the way, the photo is going in a prominent place in my house — haven’t picked the right spot yet but I’ll guarantee it’ll be in a place that will be sure to spur a few conversations.
WSG — If possible, could you pass my e-mail along to Missy from the little cloud aid station? She asked for it after the race but neither of us had a pen and she said she’d just get it from you. I think I had to put it on my race registration.
I’ll be back next year for sure, but I’ll gladly relinquish my title to someone slower than me.

Great race you guys. Went very well for a first time event. All of the aid stations were well stocked with everything except O2 tanks and masks. Maybe next year!? You couldn’t have picked a better day with all of the flowers in Mineral Basin in full bloom. You’ll need to update the shirt though. 8400′ my a** and it was an a**kicking course. I’ll be back next year.

Hi - any word on the race results…we are biting off all of our nails!
thanks

Awsome race, Karl & Scott!
Thanks to all aid station volunteers for great support and I apologize to AS#2 folks for being crabby my third time through the tunnel (ops, wrong turn!). A great reminder for a need to balance racing and fun (although fun I had the rest of the time).
