Big day at Western, Hal took off from the gun and never looked back! He totally burned off the competition all day, runners kept shuffling positions behind Hal, but no one was able to make a push that would threaten his lead! Looks Nicki Kimball may hold on for the women’s win, we will see shortly!! Baha! Three scrapes for Hal !

As usual, great stuff on the Blog. Hal absolutely nailed it this year. I had a feeling after his incredible Angeles Crest in September that if he had it all together he would take it this year. Of course, I was also hedging for Skaden since he practically lives on the course. Anyway, it was an amazing day out there.

I think it’s when I’m familiar with a course I’m tough to beat. I know you are going to run well at HR again this year, so give Jurek hell! I love the blog, but 12-1 odds man. I guess I was laughing the long long way to the bank. Fantastic run for AJW. His ego didn’t run the race, his experience did.

I figured with 12-1 odds I could make some more money on you. But really I was rooting for you to win it. I certainly know you have it in you. Now you get to back it up in France!
