Bighorn 100

Karl and I are off to the Bighorn 100 in Sheridan, Wyoming. The mighty Bighorn has a record that needs re-set by one of those fast guys, sub 20 ? After re-cycling 7 toe nails I have a fresh set of scrapers for the 103.6 distance this weekend. Karl has come off back to back wins at Massanutten, Mcnaughton and is hoping to be fresh enough to pull out a good run this weekend. I have finished 3 races with the beef of the schedule coming up next with Bighorn, Leadville and the Bear 100, Karl is looking at the Bighorn, Mt. Blanc, Hardrock and Bear.

    Hey Scott,

Didn’t you run the Squaw Peak 50 this year? I just wanted to share my blog and photos from the Squaw Peak 50 with you. It was a great day and I had a good run. Squaw Peak 50 2004 was my very first ultra ever and I had to abandon the race that year at mile 33 due to peeing blood for several hours :( I should’ve known better that that isn’t a good course for a first timer…hahaha.

This year my goals were simple…finish, hopefully under 12 hours and NO URINATING BLOOD! I met all those goals.

My next ultra is June 30th called Running With The Devil 50, in Nevada near Lake Mead….it’s gonna be a battle against the HEAT of the desert :)

    Thanks,
