Way to Cool 50k ~ Old Peublo 50 Miler

MORE THAN JUST BUFFALO RUNNIN’ This upcoming weekend is full of excitement with the Way Too Cool 50k in Cool, California and the Old Pueblo 50 Mile in Patagonia, Arizona. Both races are full and fast times are expected. With Cool it all depends on how cool the mud will be. In Arizona, runners will leave Kentucky Camp and start their run from the border patrol. Likely, border patrol won’t catch anyone! We will try and predict who will win at Cool on our next post in two days. It’s a secret who’s running at Old Pueblo, we won’t find out till the race is over…stay tuned. The Pow Pow keeps flying in Utah, but don’t go backcountry, its a deathtrap right now.

Wow that is quite a fracture. Back-country is death right now. But man the POW POW is sweet!
I’ll be at Old Pueblo this Saturday and I’m also one of the few Americans that will also be running the Tour Du Mont-Blanc. I see the Speedgoat’s tracks there.

Jeez that is one hello of a ave fracture. The snow hit hard in Northern Nevada, glad I’m headed to Patagonia for the Old Pueblo 50m for some sunshine and very cool trails.
A while back you asked who else was headed to Chamonix for the Tour du Mont-Blanc, I am and I’m amped about it. It looks like one hell of a adventure. I’ll look for the Wasatch Speedgoats there.

Hey Scott! glad to hear there is an ol’ ice fishin brethren out there. Take a look at the post now and I think the new picture of the ol’ man kissin’ the walleye and brew will bring back memories of Erie days. If I bust a win at Superior100 I’ll send you some seasonal Leinenkugels Octoberfest brew or local Northwoods brew called Injured Minnow. A course record and I’ll send you both fresh walleye. Great site and readin’ whats happenin’ in your neck of the woods. Interested in that Antelope run over there!

Eep… you note re Way Too Cool had me scared! I’m running WTC and was thinking it was the weekend of March 10th, while you suggest it is March 3 or 4. I just double checked and WTC is, in fact, on March 10. No need for me to book a last minute flight to Sacramento after all.

    Ps. I love the blog.

  8. Wynn Says:

Sounds good, I’ll even send you some New Glarus Spotte Cow ale if I do proper at Kettle Moraine 100.
Sounds like Mont Blanc is going to be a real doozie. The big boyz are coming out to play. I don’t know if scott got in, I know he told me he was doing Badwater right after Hardrock, that should be a nice gift to the body.
Should be interesting nonetheless. Carpenter could be gearing up and approach it Mackey style, saving himself for one big effort. We shall see!
Look forward to keeping posted during your runs at BigHorn and Hardrock.

I’d give you 3 scrapes, but the whitetails around here have shed their horns, I’ll give ya a MOOOOOOO!
